Let's Get Started
Every journey at Wellness in Motion Clinic begins with an Initial Consultation. It's a relaxed, one-on-one conversation with your Exercise Physiologist no pressure, no judgement, just a chance for us to get to know you and build a plan that fits your life.
What We'll Cover Together:
Understand your goals
Review your health history
Assess your current function
Discuss any concerns or injuries
Create a personalised plan
Whether your goal is to improve strength, support your health, reduce pain, or simply feel more confident in your body, we are here to help. Your first session is the beginning of something that will change how you feel for years to come.
Got Questions?
We know starting something new can feel daunting. Here are answers to the questions we hear most — so you can walk through the door feeling ready.
Do I need a referral or a doctor's note?
No referral is required to book an Initial Consultation. You are welcome to self-refer. If you have recent results, scans, or a referral from your GP or specialist, please bring these along, as they help us build the best plan for you, but they are not required to get started.
How long does the Initial Consultation take?
Your Initial Consultation is approximately 45- 60 minutes. This gives us enough time to understand your goals, review your health history, assess your movement, and create a personalised plan before we discuss the best program options for you.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move easily in gym wear or activewear is perfect. Bring any relevant medical history, scans, or reports if you have them, along with a list of any current medications. Comfortable, supportive footwear is ideal.
What happens after the Initial Consultation?
At the end of your consultation, we will recommend the program or service best suited to your goals and health needs. We will walk you through how sessions work, discuss scheduling, and ensure you feel confident about your next steps before you leave. Is this suitable if I have a health condition or injury?
Absolutely. Exercise Physiologists are university-trained allied health professionals who specialise in working with people who have chronic conditions, injuries, pain, and complex health needs. If you are managing a condition, that is exactly why we are here. How do I pay?
We accept private payment, and many of our clients are eligible for Medicare rebates, private health insurance rebates, DVA, or WorkCover. Please contact us if you have questions about funding options; we are happy to help clarify what may apply to you.
Still have questions? We'd love to hear from you.
